TICKETING ASSISTANCE

Karnataka Postal Circle offers the customers their own personal Travel Asst with the facility of booking Air, Train tickets at your nearest neighbourhood Post Office. The customer can walk into any of the 197 selected Post Offices in Karnataka and make his/her reservation.

The service of booking of Air Ticket, Railway Ticket, Bus ticket through selected Post offices in the Circle was started from 15-9-08 in 197 Post Offices.

Air and Train ticket is provided through a tie-up with ARM I Solution and Bus ticket is provided through a tie-up with Pilani Soft Labs Pvt. Ltd.

The service in Brief:

ARM I Solutions Private Limited is a subsidiary of Hermes I tickets pvt. Ltd located in Chennai which provides all types of ticketing service through EASE tickets. As per the tie up DOP has undertaken booking of Air (Domestic), train tickets through EASE tickets & thro’ RedBus. In website bus tickets are being booked at POs.

The said company has installed the software in the identified Post Offices and imparted the required training to staff.

Passenger Railway Reservation System:

In addition to above India Post – Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centre are functioning at 3 locations. They are Navanagar PO- Hubli, Udayapura PO-Kanakapura -Bg South Dn and SGS Ashram PO- Mysore. 24 more locations are approved for opening of IP-PRS centres. This is in collaboration with Ministry of Railways.
