Important Special Cover Release functions held during 2007 - 2008
* 08.06.2007: A function was organised by Master Control Facility, ISRO, Hassan to celebrate 25 years of its service to the nation. To mark the occasion Hon'ble President of India released a Special Cover at Hassan. Chief Postmaster General handed over the album containing Special Covers for release.
* Karnapex-2007 10.08.2007His Excellency, T.N.Chaturvedi, the then Governor of Karnataka inaugurated the exhibition. A Special Cover depicting Bangalore Fort was released by His Excellency to celebrate the Heritage Day
* Karnapex-2007 11.08.2007Mrs.Shashi Deshpande, an eminent English Novelist was the Chief Guest for Akshara Day celebrated on 11.08.2007. Ms.Meera Datta, the then Principal Chief Postmaster General, presented the album containing Special Cover to the Chief Guest.
* Karnapex-2007 12.08.2007The then Hon'ble Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph, High Court of Karnataka was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function held on 12.08.2007. Ms.Meera Datta, the then Principal Chief Postmaster General, presented the album of Special Cover to the Chief Guest
* A Special Cover was released on 20.08.2007 on the occasion of Celebration of 92nd birth Anniversary of D.Devaraja Urs, former Chief Minister of Karnataka State. The Principal Chief Postmaster General presented the album containing the Special Cover to Chief Minister of Karnataka
* A Special Cover with special cancellation was released on 24.11.2007 on the occasion of All India Bonsai Convention and exhibition at Mysore. Ms.Meera Datta, the then Principal Chief Postmaster General, presented the album containing Special Covers to the Chief Guest of the function.t
* A Special Cover with special cancellation was released on 29.11.2007 on the occasion of 26th anniversary of Sri.Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram, Girinagar, Bangalore. Ms.Meera Datta, the then Principal Chief Postmaster General, presented the album containing Special Covers to the Chief Guest of the function.
