REVERSE PICK-UP
Reverse Pick up is a facility by which the Organizations/ Service providers such as Insurance companies, Trusts, Banks, Financial Institutions etc who want the documents or other instruments to be collected from the customers periodically, will provide the list of addressees to be contacted/ from the can avail this service. The features of the retail activity for collection of the instruments / voluntary contributions through Post Offices are as follows:-
• The Postal Network for the above retail activity will be all the 565 Epayment offices in the Circle.
• The service provider will give wide publicity about the collection of the instruments / contributions from the addressees / donors in cash and instruments through the post offices.
• The service provider will forward a list of addresses /donors/philanthropists from whom the instruments / contributions have to be collected by e-mail in MS Excel format, to the identified nodal office i.e. Bangalore GPO.
• The identified nodal office (BG, GPO) will down load the mail and forward the address to the respective Divisional Heads.
• Divisional Office will down load the mail, take print out and forward the addresses to the delivery POs for contacting the addressees for collection through postmen.
• The Postmen will contact the donor, collect the instrument and hand it over to the Postmaster for forwarding it to the nodal office i.e., Bg. GPO.
• The e-payment collection data will be synchronized at the close of the day by the collection post offices.
• The Nodal Office will hand over the instruments to the service provider on day to day basis
Akshayapatra Foundation are availing the reverse pick up service for collecting the contribution. Postmen staff are collecting thee contribution from the philanthropists / donors either by cash or by cheque and forward them to their Head Quarters in Bangalore. The contributions are collected both in cash & cheque.
