Karnataka Postal Circle in association with Reserve Bank of India, Bangalore has authorized Bangalore GPO-Bangalore 560001, Basavangudi Head Post Office- Bangalore 560004, Rajajinagar Head Post Office-Bangalore 560010, Malleswaram Post Office - Bangalore 560003, Yeshwanthpur Post Office- Bangalore 560022 to issue Rs.1/- ,Rs.2/- and Rs.5/- coins ( in a pouch containing 100 coins) during the working hours, with effect from 16th August 2007. The maximum number of coins issued to a person is for Rs.300/- only, per day. Further, these Post Offices will also exchange soiled notes.
