HDFC BANK LOAN AGAINST SECURITY

The Department has entered into a tie-up with HDFC Bank for disbursement of loan against securities through post offices on 5.10.2006.

The HDFC Bank advances loans to the individuals for various purposes. The bank is also giving loans on securities like NSCs/KVPs to the holders.

The Bank collects loan applications from the holders of NSCs/KVPs at the identified Post Offices. Any investor of NSC/KVP can come in contact with identified post offices and give the application wherein the particulars about the NSCs/KVPs will be verified. The applications will be collected by HDFC from the Post Offices. After certain formalities of the bank, the loan will be sanctioned to the applicants.

The following are the post offices identified for the service :

Bangalore Region:

Banashankari II Stage, Bangalore GPO, Gandhinagar, Indiranagar, Jayanagar HO, J.P.Nagar, Koramangala, Malleswaram, Rajajinagar HO, R.T.Nagar HO, Sadashivanagar, Vijayanagar, Basavanagudi HO, HAL II Stage HO and Basaveshwaranagar

South Karnataka Region:

Mangalore HO, Balmatta, Ashoknagar, Udupi HO, Mysore HO, Kabir Road, Saraswathipuram HO and V.V.Mohalla

North Karnataka Region:

Belgaum City, Cams, College Road, Marathigalli, Shahapur, Tilakawadi, Hubli HO, Karnataka Medical College, Kishtapur, Dharwad City and Dharwad Market

With effect from 19-06-07, the service has been extended to all the offices in Bangalore City and also to the offices where HDFC Bank as a branch.
