GRAMINA SUVIDHA KENDRA

An MOU was entered with M/s Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd, Mumbai to set up Gramina Suvidha Kendra (GSK) in providing online information regarding prices of various agricultural commodities in rural area through selected Post Offices in the Circle. The service was started on pilot basis in Gadag and Tumkur Divisions and is launched on 06.01.2009 in Ron SO under Gadag Division in a function attended by Postmaster General, North Karnataka Region and Vice President of M/s Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd, Mumbai. The training on product and marketing of the service was imparted to PO staff through GSK co-ordinator on the same day.
